Purpose:
To offer exceptional chamber music experiences for home schooled students and their parents.
Foster collaboration and camaraderie with home school families by offering quality musical educational opportunities with seasoned professionals, and to create performance venues for participants that build community.
Chamber music is exhibited as a vehicle of communication; a “Universal Language,” that crosses generations and adds beauty and enrichment for the musicians and the audience. (Cross over educational benefits include correlation of history, art and literature to the era of the music being explored.)
|
Description:
Ensembles including string quartets, trios and a chamber orchestra are formed pairing students and parents of similar music levels together to study works of great masters.
Coachings are given by world- class artists that explore the communicative aspects of chamber music, hone musical and technical ensemble skills and prepare performances.
Educational topics include historical insights into the works and lives of the composers and their impact on society.
